He married (2) TABITHA BAKER on 08 Nov 1821 in Scott County, Indiana. Notes for Jesse Parks: Scott County, Indiana, Deed Book K, p. 35. This Indenture made this 13th day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six between Jesse Parks and Dorcas his wife of Jackson county Indiana of the first part and Roberts of the county of Scott and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of seventy five dollars to them in had paid by the party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have remissed released and forever quit claimed and by these presents do remiss release and forever quit claim unto the said Robert Parks his heirs and assigns forever their undivided eleventh part of the following described tracts of land lying and being in the county of Scott. Towit one hundred and ten acres being in the south west quarter of section no. twelve in Township no. three North of Range no. seven East also eighty acres being the west half of the south east quarter of the same section township and range as the above containing in all one hundred and ninety acres being all the right title claim and demand of said party of the first part as legal heirs at law of Hugh Parks, sr late of said county of Scott deceased and to said tracts of land and to have and to hold the same and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Robert Parks his heirs and assigns forever. In testimony whereof the said Jesse Parks and Dorcas his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this day and year first above written. Signed sealed and delivered in presence of Willis L. Traylor. Jesse Parks, his mark, Dorcas Parks, her mark. State of Indiana, Scott County This day personally appeared before me the undersigned Recorder of said County the within named Jesse Parks to me personally known and acknowledged the within Deed of Conveyance to Robert Parks to be his voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. Given under my hand and seal this 13th day of August AD 1846. Willis L. Traylor State of Indiana, Scott County Before me Thomas Carr a Justice of the Peace of said County Personally came before me Dorcas Parks the wife of the said Jesse Parks after reading and explaining said deed to said Dorcas Parks the wife of said Jesse Parks she in a private examination separate and apart from and without the hearing of her said husband acknowledged the same to be her act and for the use and purpose herein contained without force or coercion of her said husband.
